Raymond McCarthy

General Manager – SPBD Solomon Islands

Raymond has 12 years of experience with SPBD. Prior to becoming the General Manager, he served as the Acting GM.  Raymond joined SPBD Solomon Islands in 2019 as the head of operations, and he made significant contributions to building the capacity of the team.  Prior to joining the team in the Solomons, Raymond was at SPBD Samoa.  He began his career with SPBD as a Center manager in 2010 and progressed to a number of senior positions within SPBD Samoa, where he assisted in the development and introduction of new products such the SME loan product, the overseas workers loan product, and the white goods loan product. He was also actively involved in the promotion of the SPBD Samoa financial literacy initiative and has brought the same passion and drive to enhance the financial literacy of clients in SPBD Solomon Islands.

Raymond is pursuing his MBA at the University of the South Pacific (USP).  Raymond holds a diploma in business management from USP and a certification in advanced computer software applications and networking from the National University of Samoa.
